Sabiyu glaze is a type of Tetsuyu glaze that primarily uses straw ash. This glaze appeared in the Kamakura era as matte accent and became more common in the Muromachi era, eventually evolving into many different types and styles of glaze. Sabiyu typically transforms to become glossier after years of use. Enjoy the changing landscape!
