Hata Lacquerware Store was established in 1930 by Unomatsu Hata, a skilled hand-lacquer craftsman. Later, together with the second generation, he expanded the business to offer a wide range of lacquerware, forming the foundation of the Hata Lacquerware Store we know today.
Located in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the store continues the 450-year tradition of Yamanaka lacquerware, renowned for its wheel-turning techniques. Hata Lacquerware Store proudly produces two brands: "col." and "Unomatsudo," blending traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.
Hata Lacquerware creates simple, high-quality products that are beautiful, functional, and built to last—bringing timeless Japanese artistry to everyday life.
